A multiparameter probe can collect oxygen, pH, salinity, turbidity, and temperature data during the mission. The probe can be mounted on the ROV or placed on the seabed for longer measurement series, providing data for environmental assessment and corrosion analysis.
Service
Water Samples & Thickness Measurement
Ocean Discovery combines water sampling, environmental data, and ROV-supported ultrasound measurement to assess both structural condition and the surrounding water environment. The methods are used for hazardous wrecks, harbour infrastructure, hull checks, and underwater corrosion assessment.
Water samples and environmental data
Ultrasound thickness measurement
ROV-mounted ultrasound equipment makes it possible to measure hulls, sheet piling, and steel structures without drydocking or dewatering. The probe is pressed against the surface and readings are transmitted to the operator in real time, including on heavily corroded metal.
Reporting and application
Results are compiled as positioned readings, sample data, photo documentation, and a clear condition summary. The documentation supports maintenance planning, risk assessment, environmental follow-up, and decisions on further technical action.
